FDM 3D Printing
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printing process involves heating and extruding thermoplastics layer-by-layer to build a 3D component. FDM 3D printing is a good options to build inexpensive prototypes and functional parts within days. Material options include popular thermoplastics like PLA, ABS, PETG, PA and more.

DMLS 3D Printing
DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) 3D printing process uses lasers to melt a thin layer of metal powder at required crosssections layer-by-layer to build a 3D component. DMLS 3D printing is the right option for manufacturing metal components with complex geometries, prototypes with production grade materials and time constrained parts. Metal Alloys included with DMLS 3D printing are Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Inconel, Cobalt Chrome and Titanium.

Design Considerations
Process | Materials | Max Part Size | Min Feature Size | Tolerances |
---|---|---|---|---|
FDM | PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU & PA | 300mm x 300mm x 300mm | 0.2mm | ±0.1mm |
DMLS | Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Inconel, Cobalt Chrome & Titanium | 450mm x 450mm x 450mm | 0.6mm | ±0.08mm |
CFC | Carbon fiber, Glass fiber & Kevlar polymer matrix | 300mm x 300mm x 300mm | 0.4mm | ±0.2mm |
